Everything collected through Zero Waste Box is sorted and processed into raw materials that can be reused instead of being sent to landfills.

Thanks to Wendy’s design background, even the look of the treats is a nod to how important sustainability is to Luca Pets.

The design of the signature bars was inspired by Terrazzo, which is a type of tile that’s made by embedding scrap marble and stone pieces into a concrete mixture. This medium produces something new and unique, created from leftover materials, which reduces waste.

“I loved that sustainability could look so good … So we re-created the look, but in treat form,” said Wendy.

The Tasting Box, which contains two samples of 4 bar flavors, and the bags of bites or bars all have circular cutouts in the packaging, so you can see what the treats look like before you buy them.

“You’re not left guessing what’s really in the food you’re feeding your dogs,” said Wendy.
